Under the inspiring and didactic leadership of our red thread lecturer Simon Feersma Hoekstra, the in-depth section of Vitens started on Tuesday 6 June. At their beautiful location Soestduinen, a national monument in the province of Utrecht. An early start from Friesland as Simon also acted as driver for the three students from MBO Life Sciences. New this year is that MBO students can join an in-depth section. In addition, eleven Vitens employees are taking part and two from WMD. Together with Wateropleidingen, we are providing this development programme and the exam will follow in January.
On behalf of Wateropleidingen, Guido Kersten was the lecturer and a specialist in the treatment of surface water into drinking water. Rob Breedveld, hydrologist at Vitens, shared his knowledge on groundwater quality.
It started with an introduction. Also on the programme was Geohydrological calculation and water quality. It was an instructive day and we wish all participants every success!
