From June 9th-13th, the city of Leeuwarden became the heart of international collaboration in water education. The PoVE Water partner meeting, hosted by CIV Water at the inspiring WaterCampus, brought together water professionals from 8 countries for a powerful week of connection, innovation, and learning.
The focus? To advance future-oriented vocational education and training (VET) in the water sector, promoting excellence and sustainability across Europe.
Over the course of several days, participants explored emerging technologies, exchanged best practices, and discussed how to better align VET systems with the needs of a rapidly evolving water industry. This project, funded by Erasmus+, aims to build a resilient European network of Centres of Vocational Excellence—a crucial step toward ensuring our water professionals are equipped for the challenges of tomorrow.
The energy, insights, and enthusiasm shared throughout the week remind us that international cooperation is not just valuable—it’s vital.
