High attendance at the International Water Weeks that took place in September. Chiara Riondino, Head of Vocational Education and Training at the European Commission of Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion, delivered a presentation at the European Water Technology Week (EWTW) dinner, on the importance of developing MBO skills in the water sector.
Besides her presentation, the visit had another purpose: to see for herself how the Water Campus functions and the mutual cooperation between the parties involved. "This is a great example of cooperation and I am glad that Brussels, through the Erasmus+ programme, can contribute to this. My colleagues should also see this with their own eyes!" said Chiara.
International Project Weeks is funded by the Erasmus+ programme, the EU's programme for education, training, youth and sport in Europe. Erasmus+ is part of the European Commission and is involved in implementing policy programmes.
The visit was an important moment that made an impact. This also made it visible to the European Commission in Brussels how work field and MBO education can be brought together, what kind of results this cooperation has produced and what it can bring in the future.
